ROGER SANCHEZ at Armania Phuket
Roger Sanchez is a renowned American house DJ, remixer, and music producer. He began his career playing at nightclubs in New York City before gaining international recognition. Alongside fellow New York DJs Erick Morillo, David Morales, and Danny Tenaglia, Sanchez became a prominent figure in the European club scene, particularly in Ibiza, where he has held a summer residency since 2000.
In 2002, Sanchez founded his own record label, Stealth Records, which has become a significant platform for deep house, Latin, tribal, and tech sounds. He is also the mastermind behind the annual Release Yourself compilation series, celebrated for its diverse blend of genres.
Sanchez achieved significant success in 2003 when he won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of No Doubt's "Hella Good." He is perhaps best known for his hit single "Another Chance," which remains a staple in house music. Over the years, he has earned four DJ Awards for Best House DJ (1999, 2002, 2004, 2007) and received 12 nominations.
An early pioneer in the podcasting world, Sanchez was honored with the first-ever Best Podcast Award at the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) in 2007. His globally popular show Release Yourself draws over 20 million listeners and is broadcast across more than 30 markets worldwide.
Sanchez's influence in the dance music industry remains strong. In 2015, he reintroduced his alter-ego S-Man and relaunched Stealth Recordings with the hit single "Remember Me" (featuring Stealth). This track became a global success, leading to collaborations with labels such as Ministry of Sound, Ego, We Play, and Blanco Y Negro. His remix work has included iconic artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, and Janet Jackson, solidifying his place as a top global house DJ and remixer.
With longstanding residencies at Ibiza's most prestigious clubs like Space, Pacha, Amnesia, and Glitterbox, Sanchez continues to be a defining force in the world of house music.
