Morten has emerged as one of Denmark’s most prominent and globally successful DJs and producers, making waves in electronic dance music (EDM). His genre-blending sound spans electro house, progressive house, big room, future bass, and dubstep, creating a powerful, arena-filling experience that has garnered the attention of top industry veterans like Avicii, Tiësto, David Guetta, and Diplo, who have remixed his tracks.
Morten’s musical journey took off with his debut single “Højere Vildere” in 2008, a collaboration with Rune RK and featuring Danish duo Nik & Jay. His breakthrough came in 2010 with “Domestic,” which climbed to No. 3 on the Danish Singles Chart and solidified his place in the dance music scene. He followed this success with the release of his debut album “Drop!” in 2009 and “Nightclub Session” in 2010, along with a series of popular singles like the progressive hit “86 Degrees” and “Stick Up,” featuring actress and singer Juliette Lewis.
In 2016, Morten expanded his sonic reach with “Beautiful Heartbeat,” collaborating with electro-pop singer Frida Sundemo. That same year, he teamed up with Steve Aoki for “Kids” and Mr. Vegas for “Love.” By 2017, Morten had continued to innovate, dropping tracks like “Coffee Can Money,” “TTFU,” and “Keep Me from You,” featuring ODA.
One of Morten’s most significant contributions to EDM came in 2020 when he teamed up with David Guetta to co-create the “future rave” sound, a genre that merges the energy of EDM with the underground vibes of techno and the dynamic feel of trance. Their collaboration culminated in the release of the four-track New Rave EP, which has helped redefine the boundaries of modern dance music.
With over 4.7 million monthly Spotify listeners, Morten’s global fanbase continues to grow. In 2021, he made his debut on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list as the highest new entry at No. 39 and reached No. 20 on the 1001Tracklists rankings. In 2022, his music video for “Dreams” with David Guetta and Lanie Gardner earned Best Highlight Video at Clubbing TV’s Music Video Awards. He has since played on the main stages of some of the world’s biggest festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, and more. He also holds a residency in Ibiza alongside Guetta.
